American Rugby Outfitters, established in 1985 and based in Elk Grove Village, Ill., is one of the leading retail and wholesale distributors of rugby apparel and jerseys in the United States. Its customers include individuals, teams, universities, organizations, businesses, and wholesale dealers and distributors. The company has several distribution and licensing agreements with companies in Europe, Canada and New Zealand. Established in 1985, American Rugby Outfitters offers rugby gear, field equipment, training gear, custom team jerseys and team wear. It also provides an in-house custom service for numbering shirts and personalizing them with embroidery. All numbers are traditional 9-inch, round-cut digits that are heat-sealed either directly to the back of the shirt or on a separate patch. Patches are mounted either in the normal square or a diamond configuration, zigzag stiched around the entire perimeter, and finished with a reinforcing overstitch.
