I highly recommend the Center for Better Hearing which provided excellent advice, service and price. I recently went to Gregory Free, the audiologist at the Center for Better Hearing, after checking out a number of other local audiologists to see about correcting my high frequency loss in both ears. As I have never worn hearing aids, and my hearing loss was not that bad, so I had a lot of questions. I was also uncertain about the value of hearing aids for me. Gregory was extremely knowledgeable and patient in explaining my options and their pros and cons, the physiology hearing and answering all the other questions I had about hearing aids. He also performed his own hearing test, all at no charge. Based on his advice, I selected hearing aids to try out, with no obligation, for two months (Phonak Audeo Yes IX), which included many follow-up visits for fine tuning or experimentation. Gregory was extremely contentious about getting the most utility from the instruments for my situation and was open a lot of experimentation (e.g., different programs that I could try with a remote he lent to me, etc.). He spent a lot of time with me each visit, which I appreciate, even if this practice that can make him somewhat behind schedule at times. I never felt pressure to purchase a hearing aid or an accessory that I would not use or which did not provide the value I was seeking. The Audeo Yes hearing aids really worked out great, and I purchased them at a significantly lower price than a number of other local places that gave me quotes (The Center for Better hearing has a price guarantee, in any case). The Center for Better hearing provides lifetime adjustments of my hearing aids. I have now owned my hearing aids for number of months and have been extremely happy with them – I use them all the time. My experience at the Center for Better Hearing could not have been better.
