Last Saturday our chihuahua was attacked by a coyote. We took our pet to this ER and were treated with disrespect and rudeness. We are senior's on fixed incomes and were not prepared for a $2000 pet emergency. We paid the deposit of $350 when we arrived and the doctor came in and informed us it would be about $ 1600 more for his care. When we told her that we didn't have the money she left and we never saw her again. The staff told us we should borrow from friends or apply for a 27%interest credit line and when we couldn't do that. they brought our bleeding dog to us with some medication to take home and told us to pay the $200 balance by next Friday. As we were leaving the woman in front informed us that we couldn't leave without paying, grabbed the medicine from my hands and rudely told us we had been misinformed. Another clerk, one with a beating heart, told us for another $100 we could take the meds, which we did. For our $550 we received a minimal amount of care and left feeling like we were criminals. It has been some time since I have seen such rude, uncaring, actually mean behavior. I hope to never need to go here again.
