I went into Tener's in Edmond on 11-30-16 to return boots that had caused a ring around both of my legs from some kind of chemical or allergic reaction. I was greeted by a very friendly girl who then referred me to her manager, a tall blonde girl that was extremely rude from the get-go. She told me it wasn't because of the boots, so she couldn't return them. I told her that it's not my fault, I have many pairs of boots. She asked if I wore long socks with them. I responded, "all I wear is boots so yes, all I wear is long socks." She told me she couldn't return them because it wasn't the boots' problem, it was my problem. So I told her she needed to talk to her superiors. After making a phone call, she came back and told me she could do it this one time but next time I'd need to call Justin Boots because it's their problem, not Tener's. So then I went back to look at boots in the back of the store. A few minutes later she came up to inform me not to expect more in my refund than what I had paid for the boots. I asked, "why would I?" She said because they under-charged me for the other boots as if I should have known this. It was like she came back there just to be as rude as possible to me one more time, in hopes I would just walk out or something. I went ahead and bought another pair of boots for $100 more than the ones I had bought, like I have for many years from Tener's on Reno, but will never again. I'm going to Boot Barn to look at boots today because I don't really like the ones I bought while I was there but she made it clear I couldn't bring these back either. Good luck with your Edmond store, Tener's, I'll be sure to pass the word.

The store is well kept and has an amazing selection. The sales associate I worked with was very knowledgeable and eager to answer all of my questions! However, the gentleman who is managing the store was sitting in the hat area the entire time on his phone and proceded to answer my comment after finished his text message. He only came down to speak to me once he noticed his employee grabbing me a more expensive boot in which he lied to me about the entire time. Lied about it being discontinued and lied about the size he thinks I need in order to get me into the last size the store had. I'm sorry sir, I refuse to be scammed so you can make a sale. I ended up buying the boot I had originally intended in the size I need, which was a full size and a half different than what he was placing me in. Don't tell him anything about your personal life because he has a story to one-up you, in every context. I now have everyone I know call to make sure he's not there before going in. Will only shop on times he's unavailable.

Teners is a great place shop and work. If anyone goes in please to buy something have everyone else help you but the store manager jack he will lie through his teeth and never shut up and will never let you leave. If you want to work there please save yourself now and dont apply jack is a two faced lier and is not a great manager at all. He causes drama with you and picks fights and always thinks he is in the right. He takes credit for everything when the employees do all the work. He also talked about you behind your back to other employees and customers. He does not know what being professional is. He shares way to Mich information about the store to customers that they dont need to know and tells customers lies about employees on why they dont work there anymore. So if you ever go in there please I beg you please do not let jack (fat Mexican guy) help you.

Great experience!

So I received jeans and a vest for Christmas, that didn't fit, I had read previous reviews and really dreaded going in to exchange, to my surprise I was greeted and promptly told they would be happy to exchange or do store credit, whichever I preferred, Everyone was nice and helpful, so I have to say sorry if you had negative experience, but mine was a great one!

Here's the short version. I purchased a pair of boots for my husband's b-day, They were clearance boots. I purchased size 11 which is my husband's size. He tried one of them on and said it didn't fit. I went back hoping to be able to get my money back. When I asked about it, she said she'd ask and the manager who walked by and pointed at a sign on the register "40% off or more, no returns". We took the boots out of the box and the employee starts looking at them. They were 2 different sizes. One was a 10 and the other an 11. They didn't have the other 11. I agreed to allow my husband to try the identical 10 1/2 pair. They were too small. I brought them back. The manager informed me the only thing he could do was let me find another pair and have me pay the difference. I explained that I paid for size 11 and got one 10 and one 11. Not my fault. He refused to give me a refund or another pair for the same price. We ended up picking out another pair as closely priced as we could find and paying the difference. He would not make good on the mistake made by his store. To the employees credit, they were as helpful as they could be given the situation. I will never return.

insulting, it was so pitiful

Walked in with my family and brother in law from out of town. He was there to spend money, cash in pocket. We weren't greeted whatsoever, even though there were 2 guys sitting on the counter, and 2 or 3 girls sitting behind the counter talking. We tried getting their attention for help for the entire 30 minutes we were there. He said forget it, and as all 4 of us walked out the front door, one of the girls said bye, we didn't say anything back, and she sarcastically says well, have a great day too. We went somewhere else to buy the boots, will not ever, ever walk into that store again. We all left really frustrated because he had $1,000 cash he planned on spending. Worked out because the other place was really helpful, and he ended up spending more there. I've already let several people know about our experience.

This was on 8-18-14, about 4pm or so.

Great Store!

Glad there is finally a store like this in Edmond! Most of the rest have no Cowboy gear and are far too overpriced!
