My name is Jason Epps, head instructor of Pride Mixed Martial Arts. I wanted to take a second to tell you a bit about our school, and what you can expect when you walk through our doors for the first time. But just to warn you - when you come, prepare to be hooked. People fall in love with our programs from day 1, and I'm sure you will too. Here's a bit about why that happens...

Dedication. Our expert martial arts staff is extremely, extremely, extremely dedicated to giving you the best possible experience you could ask for. They're there for every question you need answered... every boost of motivation when challenges arise... and to instill in you the wisdom that's been passed down through martial arts for thousands of years.

Our instructors care. They're here for you 110%.

It's more than kicks and punches. On the surface, our Edmond martial arts program might seem like learning how to defend yourself and your loved ones. In truth, martial arts is so much more. Through the effort, dedication, and practice you put into every class...

... every are of your life will see improvement. You'll gain focus, determination and confidence that will seep into everything you do. Whether it's at work, at home, or anywhere else - you'll be changed for life.

Martial arts is just as much about work on who we are inside as it is about the individual techniques and skills. With our program, you'll reap the full benefit of this ancient wisdom.

Fun. And last but not least, we know how to have fun! After all, too much work is simply off-putting. When an activity is all serious focus and hard work, it's easy to burn out.

Every class is filled with smiles and laughter. You'll make friends, enjoy your time, and walk away happier than when you came.

Anyways, I hope to see you soon. Feel free to explore our site, and learn more about each of our Edmond martial arts programs. Then, call us when you're ready to get started. But don't wait too long! Our classes are limited in size, and I'd hate to see you miss out.

To your success, Coach Epps

amazing

I have been involved with a Pride for over 10 Years and during this time I have never regretted the time or money spent. I consider the Coaches and Owners as my second family!! I recently returned after having been gone and was welcomed back by the coaches, old friends , new friends and the owner!! It was like I never left. Pride has taught me I can overcome and push through any obstacle and push myself to a level I never thought possible. As a woman it thought me to be confident, self assured, to have pride in myself, and never settle for less then what I am worth.

My family has been a part of PMMA going on 2 and a half years. I've watched both my children struggle and overcome because of lessons they've learned at PMMA. They are more responsible at home and in school since we've started going. And as for my husband and me, doing martial arts as a family is something that has brought us all closer together. it helps reinforce what we are teaching them at home and what they learn at church, things like the golden rule, courage and integrity. My kids can now watch my husband and me and know when it's not easy, we aren't giving up. And as a female, the fitness and self defense classes have increased my own self confidence, as I'm a natural introvert. PMMA has allowed us to have some great teachable moments and we look forward to many more years of training.

I have been attending classes at Pride with MR. Epps for over 2 years now and my only regret is not starting 10 years ago!!! I originally started classes there wanting to learn some self defense techniques and had no desire to pursue any belt ranks. That lasted about 3 weeks and I knew I was hooked and this is where I want to be. I have since learned more than I ever thought I would and my confidence levels are 100% improved! I have a blast every time I step on the mat and I can't wait to get to class every night!! But what I am most thankful for is the relationships I have built and how the coaches and other students alike have become like family to me. The instructors there are fantastic mentors and role models and I look forward to being able to enroll my own children there someday.

The Best

After searching and visiting many martial arts schools, my husband visited Pride after hearing about it from a close friend. Now my family has been with Pride Mixed Martial Arts for over 13 years. Jason Epps (owner/head instructor) truly has a passion for teaching the martial arts and has a natural ability to bring out the best in his students. He is vigilant about continuing his own training, and seeks out the best instructors in the world, literally, to keep up with that training. He is also relentless when it comes to the training he requires of his own instructors at Pride. I have had the privilege of being a coach at Pride, and the requirements that must be met are not easy. Coaches must be 100% committed as they attend many, many hours of training, not only in perfecting their martial arts skills, but in class management, conflict resolution, creative teaching concepts, and so forth. These coaches truly are the best, and it shows.

My husband and I and two of our children received our black belts under Jason Epps and his coaches, and my two other children are training toward theirs as well. Through Pride, my children have learned how to respect authority, encourage and care for others, and overcome adversity through mental and physical endurance. Pride is not just another place to send your kids for an extracurricular activity. Pride trains children and adults alike to be productive people who make their world a safer, better place for themselves and others. It truly is the best.

My son and I both take classes at Pride MMA. The MMA classes have been great for my son's self esteem. They teach him discipline in a loving and safe environment. They perfectly balance being tough on the kids while still making sure they feel cared about and have fun. I do both the fitness classes and the adult MMA classes and love both. Every instructor I have worked with is both knowledgeable and personable. They also host several women's self defense workshops each year that are excellent.

After taking martial arts with...

After taking martial arts with Jason Epps for a couple years when I was 12. I can honestly say that Mr. Epps and the instructors here are all good models for children, and they demand that children respect their parents. They also create an environment that's very warm and fun loving, and inspires kids and adults alike to want to achieve a greater standard for themselves not only in self-defense and fitness but in their day to day lives.

Very Pleased

I have been very pleased with the instructors and treatment I have recieved from Premier. Jessi has been our instructor and my son (5) as well as the rest of us just adore her. We are excited to see him learning and growing both physically through the exercise but also in confidence and discipline. Thanks Premier and Jessi!

Very Poor

I would not recommend Premier Martial Arts to ANYONE! I just had an experience where the owner (Jason Epps) and the coaches (instructors) were rude to me (a parent of a 4 year old) as well as other parents, in front of the children, and were immature in their attitude and actions. Premier Martial Arts does not care about teaching children...they are only in this for the money. I urge anyone to who is thinking of starting their children in karate to keep looking. Do not send your children to Premier Martial Arts!
