Central Elementary School is a part of Rockingham County Schools. The school serves more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school provides an array of special programs, such as special education, gifted and talented and the Title 1 program. It also supports the English as a Second Language program. Central Elementary School s counselor works directly with the faculty, students and the parents to facilitate academic success and personal development of the students. The elementary school has a library that has a collection of picture books and fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as various databases, reference materials, magazines and newspapers.
