My son stopped at Markquart Lube-N-Wash on his way to Minneapolis for an oil change. He's 18 and heading to Minnesota for school/work. I gave him $20, he can pay the extra....which shouldn't be the total he paid.
He drives a 10 year old car with at the time almost 137,000 miles on it and whoever at this place talked him into a Mobil 1 very best oil change for $85.97 and Premium-oil filter for $10.00 and they also changed some lamp bulbs for $6.99 AND A GRAND TOTAL OF $108.62!! I found out and called the Eau Claire Markquart Lube-N-Wash and complained about their customer service and pushing a not needed service and over selling to make money. The manager Chris said nothing about the cost of the over priced service (oil change) but only tried to explain the benefits of the MOBIL 1 very Best Oil Change. My son needed an oil change on his 10 year old car/ 137,000 miles, not being charged $95.97 for oil/filter change! Very disappointed with this service and not given any resolution.
