Born and raised on Orcas Island, Bathan is a man of integrity, dedication, and has a hunger for giving back.

At the age of 19, Bathan decided to get into the excavation business, and now at 32 has decided to offer his trade by starting his own excavation business, Shaner Excavation & Tree Service, LLC. He has worked on many of the San Juan Islands, and in the greater Seattle area. Bathan not only has years of experience as a foreman, but also many certifications such as; erosion control, septic installer & inspector, blasting license, and arborist.

He is living his passion, when working with clients to help create and develop their land, whether it be on a site-plan, a seawall, putting in a new septic tank, or taking core samples from a tree. When clients watch Bathan use his excavator, they are amazed at how well of an operator he proved to be.
