If prostitution, drug abuse, addiction, bed wetting, and pill poping are for you, this is your place. All of that $#!@ is common around that bar.

Apparently the other person who reviewed the lafayette was more of a movie critic than a bar-goer. I have never felt like I was in danger while is was there? But anyway The Lafayette has great Jazz shows every 1st and 3rd Saturday, the staff are very friendly and it seems to be a family run business (which is always a plus for me). The food (which are basically homemade bar snacks) are great (especially the popcorn) and all made in house. Just read the other reviews online and get the REAL view of the lafayette

I'll just start off by saying that i have never been more uncomfortable in a public place in my entire life. This place was on the list of "Things going on in Easton tonight" at the hotel I was staying at. It was billed as a live jazz club, and sounded interesting. However, walking into this place was like walking into a horror movie. If Quentin Tarantino needs a setting for his next movie he would be wise to visit this place for twenty minutes and write down everything he sees but not without some type of body gaurd or at least some fair sized fire arm handy. And be sure that movie would chill you to your core. The patrons were less inviting than the zombie cast from "Night of the Living Dead". The owner/ manager would have had a leading role in "The Shining". And i'm pretty sure this is where the filmed the post nuclear fallout town in "The HiIls Have Eyes". Long story short, stay away.
