Provided by YP.comI arrived in Durham last week for the first time. After work I was looking for something other then a chain resturant or bar.
My colleagues recommended we go to what they called a home town tavern. Now I'll admit, being from LA , I have been called finicky, particualar even fussy.
So when we pulled in to the parking lot, I was a little apprehensive. The tavern was a bit obscure even mysterious.
But, there was a beautiful white Harley out front. A smooth slick southern gentlemen was the owner of the bike. He seemed rustic but he was polite, sophisticated even charming.
It seemed he knew every one. So we soon did too, as he introduced us. Every one was sociable and unreserved
I loved the tavern, the food was great. They have live bands, but this was Karaoke night!!! The girls and I love to dance and sing. . Oh and when some one bought me a drink, the bartender gave me a wooden token which I saved for a souvenir.
I give the tavern 5 stars, I highly recommend this tavern.
But being on the back of a white Harley crusing 90 mph on a hot July night was great!! The sandy beach at Jordan Lake on this moonlit night was sensational even passionate :).
