Because of the polycarboxylate chemistry of the Waste Lock Super Absorbent Polymers, the polymer has a strong ion exchange affinity for soluble metal ions. Many wastes when solidified or stabilized with Waste Lock Super Absorbents will pass TCLP ( Toxic Characteristic Leachate Procedure ) for RCRA metals.
