Be very, very careful with what clerk you go to. There is a mousy, plain, middle aged woman with straw colored hair and glasses that will not for the life of her get a single thing done for anyone without giving you many more documents that 'need' to be completed before a title can be transferred. It's a living hell especially if it's a vehicle purchased out of state. You'll have to go back to that state, meet with the previous owner again, and have a public notary to become an owner of the vehicle.
