I have shopped at Red Rooster Records for years. Owner Matt is very knowledgeable in rock, jazz, blues and STs. Good selection of used vinyl and CDs, even classical. Friendly guy. Prices are good.

mistermusic??? every time I go into red rooster records I find the people very helpful and they have a huge selection! I enjoy going to shop there!

They do have a lot of vinyl here. The records seemed way overpriced compared to the other records stores in Des Moines. I noticed several lps with heavy wear & scratches that should be in a bargain bin or the dumpster. Dont expect customer service here either. There are 2 owners, 1 seems to be asleep often behind the counter. The other younger guy just stares like your going to steal something Great feeling when your willing to speng big $$ there!!! They also sell used stereo equipment, It looks like junk from K-mart with pieces missing. Maybe they should consider another career???
