We had a fence installed fall of 2013 we have been very happy with the customer service and the product. If i need a fence again i will call them!!!!

They installed a wood fence a year ago and I love it. If we move again i will call them again..

Des Moines steel fence installed a wood privacy fence on our property. They did not obtain a permit or locate the property lines. They ended up installing the fence 3 feet on to our neighbors property, now our neighbors want to install their own fence and we have to move ours. I contacted Des Moines Steel Fence and they want us to pay for the fence to be relocated even though they were the ones who installed it incorrectly - I would not recommend them to anyone.

We had this company do our fence and it turned out wonderful from start to finish. They were very professional and understanding to our needs. now I have the best looking fence around. many of my family and freinds have also went with Des Moines steel fence for various projects.. by the way i have a wood fence, custom five foot seatle with one foot of lattice. I treated it about three weeks after completion and havent looked back.. my family and two dogs just love our wood fence.....

I also got a wood privacy fence from this company. One word. DON'T. The quality of the wood they use is sub par. It took less than 6 months for the wood to look bad, warp, knot holes, splintering etc. Maybe they should stick to steel fence and leave wood to someone who can do it right

I got a wood fence from Des Moines Steel fence last summer and have been unimpressed by the quality of the materials. There has been much spliting of the wood. I was told by the installer to wait to treat it until after the first winter and I know now that it was a mistake to wait. I would not use this company again now would i recomend them> as a matter of fact I have had 4 people in my area ask me about it and I have told them all look someplace else.
