Located in Denver, the Colorado State Library a division of the Colorado Department of Education. The library provides assistance to develop libraries and deliver information services throughout Colorado. It offers a wide collection of publications published in print and electronic formats by state agencies that include annual reports, budgets, planning reports, newsletters, consumer information, legislative reports and directories. The library provides materials on various topics, including health, business, education, crime, agriculture, mining, employment, taxes, water quality, wildlife and environment. It obtains publications from state agencies, general assembly, governor's office, supreme court, state colleges and universities. The library houses recorded, Braille and large-print books and magazines and also has a collection of descriptive videos.
