We were very disappointed with the honesty and integrity of Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery. Our Mother had purchased and paid in advance for her grave site several years ago. Upon her death just recently, we met with the funeral consultant representing Crown Hill who explained to us that even though the burial plot had been paid for, there would be an additional $8,800 fee to intern her, which included a casket costing $1995. There would be no service, processional, or viewing service, however, the cost for administrative and processing fees were over $6,000. Then when we changed the internment date from a Monday to a Saturday, they doubled the cost for the graveside service from $550 to $995. We contacted another Funeral Home - Newcomer - who only charged us $5500 for everything - including a $2400 casket. But Crown Hill refused to reconsider the additional cost for a weekend burial fee - which was doubled. Steer clear of Crown Hill. They are a rip off! Their is no way this funeral home can justify their outrageous fees. They know they have these grieving families in their web and feel no remorse for taking advantage of them
