Thunderbird Products is a family-owned manufacturer of powerboats located in Decatur, Ind. The company was founded by Woodie Woodson in 1956 in Florida. The first 18-foot Thunderbird was launched in 1959. Its day boats offers lounge, complete with tables and gathering space for groups, and an integrated wet bar. Thunderbird Products also offers a wide variety of cruisers and yachts. Victor B. Porter, manufacturer of powerboats for more than 20 years, acquired Thunderbird Products in 1976. The company, under the leadership of second-generation of Porter family, specializes in the manufacture of sport boats, performance boats and luxury cabin cruisers ranging from 26-to-47-feet in length.
