wife had surgery at MVH. We'd specifically asked for in-network only. anesthesiologist met with us 1 hour b4 surgery to sign papers nothing was said about the insurance. 2 month after surgery we received a bill from ASN Ltd. for unpaid costs above our insurance payment. I called them & they told us they are out of network. Told my wife's DR they arent obligated to disclose they arent covered. I took their suggestion & filed appeal with my health insurance. Less than 30 days we receive a threatening letter saying we are going to collections. Called them to ask why since we had done the appeal & they told me off. Manager refused to speak with me. It was payment plan or pay up or else! Said it had been past the 30 days allowed for appeal. I called them June 27th & it's July 19th. well within my 30 days. I asked if they could wait to see if my insurance company would pay them, because we are under hardship & they further told me off. said they would no longer speak to me and hung up on me.
