Wonderful Caring staff. Couldn't ask for better care. The nurses made me feel like a part of their family. Would recommend to anyone. Truly an amazing facility

Filthy dirty

I toured this place with my mom and just had to let everyone know how dirty it is. The girl took us to look around and took us in a room and there were flies EVERYWHERE in two of the bathrooms. This place is filthy

THEY ABUSED MY LOVED ONE

This place was wonderful when we put my mother in. It has gone down hill quick! My mom almost died because there were no nurses or nursing aids to be found. There has been two deaths in a short period of time and a lady in my mom's cottage had bruising on her face so sever I didn't recognize her as the took her out to the emergency room. I work in a hospital and after admitting mother there I have heard horror stories from other peers about this place. Don't make the mistake I did!

really nice people

We just looked at this place and it is beautiful! We spoke to many of the people that live there (they were eating dinner when we toured) all of them are very happy and very talkative. We asked a man what he thought and he said he loved it and the nurses are great and quick to respond. We met the head nurse, the community manager, alot of nurses just took time to stop and talk to us and the owner was really nice too (he heard us getting ready to leave and made a point of coming out of his office to meet us before we left.) As soon as we can sell my brother's house we plan on moving him in here.

Save yourself the trouble of looking at other places. Alot of them that we looked at were full or we weren't treated very well. One of them it was going to be $7200 a month. The Cottages are ALOT less, the people there seem really happy and the people who work there are so nice.

Caring and Compassionate

Anyone considering a place for your family should consider The Cottages of Clayton. My sister has been dealing with Amy there and she has been so warm and caring. Our family is going through alot and my Dad is really bucking and wants to stay at home. We looked at other places to see who had the best service, was the cheapest, etc. The Cottages had all of the above, but they were not pushy like the rest. It really seems that she had the best interest of dad at heart. My sister was suppose to tour yesterday and Dad wouldn't go, Amy talked to her for over an hour and then stopped by the house with a card that said, "During this rough time know my thoughts and prayers are with you...here are some hugs and kisses" and a mug of Hershey Hugs and Hershey Kisses. This was on a Saturday evening. You just don't find people out there who care like these people do. I hope you will consider this place if you are ever in the place my family is. We have shopped the area and this place is way ahead of the others.

Horrible! My mom was treated awful!

In my previous review I said how wonder this place was. In the past 4 months the Executive Director, the Director of Nursing, two marketing girls, 2 nurses and countless nurse's aides have left. My guess is because of the conditions that they were under. The pricing was a total bait and switch. They priced mom moving in and then the second month she was there they said she needed more care than orginally anticipated and they jumped the bill up almost $1000 per month. In mom's cottage some of the ladies wonder around all day and all night scared and confused and you can never find a nurse to help you with them. It really makes you wonder with turn over like that what really goes on here. I am so disappointed and we will be moving mom as soon as Friendship Village opens their Assisted Living.
