Worst and most unprofessional dentist place I have ever been to. My sons appointments keeps getting reschedule, and today after receiving two phone calls yesterday changing one of my sons appointments, when I was ON MY WAY THERE they call me and say I need to reschedule it AGAIN, are you serious?? They act like they are doing me a favor by being my kids dentist, but no you are not! I'm paying for a service (a bad one) and I know I'm not the only person that this happened to. So bye bye Beavercreek pediatric dentistry, you are not the only dentist place in town.

Awesome

This dental office is awesome, I would recommend to anyone I know to take their children here. The staff is wonderful with children & always makes the trip to the dentist enjoyable for mine. They always explain what they will be doing at each visit so I am not worried about letting my child go into the back alone. Whenever there has been an emergency or a change in the appointment they always work well with my schedule to get my kid in. Highly recommended!

Do not waste your time schedul...

Do not waste your time scheduling an appointment with these people. My son had an appointment that had to be rescheduled because he came down with a sever strep infection two days prior. It was a weekend and his appointment was on a Monday I left a message on the answering system explaining why I cancelled this appointment yet when I called to re-schedule they automatically put the appointment out a month because they said I no-showed his first appointment, no I didn't your receptionist just sucks! So I've had his appointment scheduled for the second time waited a month and now that it is 4 days away I get a call from the receptionist that they have to reschedule his appointment because the doctors are now on a mission trip for 10 days. Mission trips are great. When they are planned properly. I now have to find somewhere to schedule my child to have a procedure that he needed over a month ago and its a 6-8 week waiting time for any dentist office I call. The girl was incredibly rude on the phone and could care less that my child is in pain and now because of their poor planning he will continue to be in pain much longer. The good reviews on this place should be ignored they are most likely written by people that work there to counter the true reviews.

I would like to start off by apologizing that you feel this way and feel like we punished you for missing your original appointment. I can assure you that we did not automatically move your appointment a month out because you missed an appointment. It was moved that far out because we are a very busy office and can only allow for a certain number of new patients a day. I do apologize that we had to reschedule your next appointment due to the trip, but we had a general dentist here that does not see new patients. We spoke on July 31 and I offered you an appointment on August 13 that you declined. I am the receptionist you spoke with and if you would have expressed to me that your child was in pain I would have spoken with a doctor on Monday morning to see if we could fit you in. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to call the office.

I never step foot in this prac...

I never step foot in this practice again except to get my children's records from the one visit we had. Three children had cleanings that were over in less than 6-7 minutes each. One got a referral for bone loss that I called B.S. on, but thought I would get a second opinion. Spent money on a second opinion where I did not mention why I was getting it. They asked me why I was worried about it and I let it be. I will be nice, and end this review early because it would get ugly.

Extremely Pleased

The entire staff at Beavercreek Pediatric Dentistry is remarkable. Our son is autistic, has food allergies and a severe seizure disorder. Dr. Womack and his staff treat him wonderfully. Matthew is developmentally about 2 1/2 years old - chronologically he is now 30. He loves the posters, the rainbow wall paper and his toy or sticker. He's prone to stickers. Because Matthew is autistic, we have always been allowed to be with him in the back. We are just thankful there are practices such as this that treat disabled or handicapped children/adults. We have recommended Beavercreek Pediatric Dentistry to everyone with a handicapped or developmentally disabled child.

Criticisms for these fine Doctors and Staff when a parent of a normal child is told to remain in the lobby are unfair and unwarranted.

FYI

I work for another dental office and have refferred patients to pedodontists. The practice Dr. Womack has of not letting parents go back is very common. This is done to protect your child. If the childs attention is not totaly on the Dr. he/she may move and cause injury to themselves or the doctor. As to the gas vs,. needle.. we use both. The gas is just to relax the patient, not to "numb" the area. When you are scheduled for a 2 hour appt. and have not started for 20 minutes, you ae behind that 20 minutes! The doctor should not rush thru an appt. to make up for lost time with the next patient.

Very Pleased

My husband and I started taking our children there after another practice kept insisting that my children needed caps on their baby teeth. I felt that they were trying to do unnessary work so I contacted Beavercreek Pediatric Denistry. They have been wonderful with all three of our children (ages 11, 9, and 7). They are also located closer to our home and have been able to schedule our children's appointments after school and my work schedule. I highly recommend them.

Wonderful

I think the office is wonderful! All staff members are always so eager to assist my family and I with any questions or concerns. Dr. Womack is simply the best, was a childhood dentist of mine as well, as now my children's dentist. It means a lot to be confident in knowing my children are receiving the best care. Thanks to a wonderful team of professionals!!!!!!!

DISGUSTED

I would rate this practice with a ZERO if possible. Our son was referred to them from another dentist office because they supposedly specialized in pediatrics. We went there for the inital appointment which went fine and they scheduled him for his second to have a small procedure done. When we came back to have this producre done, he was already nervous. When he got to the back, the technician scared him by her description of the gas and he started to panic. Instead of allowing me to help calm him down, they made me leave. No parents are allowed back with there children while they are having any procedures done, which I find HIGHLY unusual. So not only was he scared because of the technician, he was more panicked when they made me leave. Moments later a tech came to the waiting area to get me. She put me in a room and told me the dentist would be talking to me. She came in a told me that they were not going to procede with the procedure because he would not let them put the gas on him. Then she explained they would set him up over at Children's hospital to have the procedure done under general anesthesia! The risk of the anesthesia and the fees for this were much more than I was prepared to deal with. Not only do I work in a hospital where a child just passed away during a dental OR procedure, but they were telling us that the UP FRONT fees for this would be $351 because we would have OR fees, anesthesia fees and then the dental fees! We are a military family and have the basic military United Concordia insurance! We cannot afford this! They had no sympathy. Once I had my son I took him outside and explained the alternative to him, gas vs. needle. I was able to calm him done to the point where he said he would let them put the gas on. He said he was scared of what the lady told him about it (the tech). So we decided to go back in and tell them that he was willing to let them put the gas on him. The dentist refused!! All it took was me, his mother, to calm him down and explain things more clearly to him and he was okay, but they were not willing to give it a second chance. The appointment slot was a 2 hour slot and we were only 20 minutes into it. I am EXTREMELY disgusted with the service and suppposed specialty in pediatrics at this practice. I will definately be deferring people away when they ask about it, and will not ever bring my child here again. Very, very poor practice.

Oh, and by the way, they are supposed to also specialize in children with developmental and other specialized type problems. This was NOT apparant by the quick discord they gave my son!!
