Do not take your pet here unless you like dealing with rude and ignorant people. I have 2 dogs which I was transferring from their previous vet to this one only because this vet was closer to home and with my new job it would be more convenient. Since I board them regularly due to my traveling, they require a visit to the vet every 6 months. They had pet insurance with a company for the last 7 years and since I was changing vet I was going with a company who accepted this vet. Anyway I spoke to the staff and informed them of my intentions. I asked what specifically do they need and they stated IF I had their medical records that would be helpful. Upon my daughters arrival with one of the dogs and their medical records, they informed her they couldn't take her because they didn't feel comfortable. My dog visit to the vet was for a estimate on her teeth cleaning and since I was changing vets I was having her knees checked. Basically the insurance company waive any waiting period (6 months) for ALC if you have the vet to check them an indicate there is no problem with their knees. Upon looking at her medical history the office manager informed my daughter they wouldn't be able to see her because according to her medical records she was seen in 2013 due to a limp and had x-rays done. Yes you read correctly. We are now in 2015 (2 years later) and they refuse to even do an exam or even ask for the xrays. My daughter explained she had a soft tissue injury to her hip and 6 months later she has had no issues. She suggested they call her previous vet and speak to them and they refuse. After being informed of the situation I called to speak to them. Boy was I surprised at the rudeness and disrespect I received from the office manager. I informed her I was trying to get and understanding of the problem and she became even more rude. I was shocked at the level or disrespect displayed by a company. I attempted to make some sense out of this woman. I explained to her wouldn't it be better that they do the exam since I went thru the trouble to have someone to bring my dog there and if they wanted to hold the results pending the review of the 2 year old xrays which I could deliver to them on the weekend would be fine. They also had the option to speak to her previous vet. Any reasonable person would have given this some thought considering IF I WAS TRYING TO HIDE SOMETHING, I would not have presented her medical records which were not required. We got no where and she refuse to answer any questions or let me speak to the doctor. I think it goes without saying I have no intentions of subjecting my dogs to such abusive people. Obviously they don't value their customers and don't put much emphasis on new clients. The exact words spoken to me by the office manager were "you need to just stay with the vet you are with and not transfer to us". I will definitely take her advice. I know it is a lost opportunity for this vet considering I support the vets by purchasing her metabolic dog food, biscuits, flea prevention medicine, dental cleanings, bi-yearly vaccines as well as boarding a minimum of 40 days per year for each of my 2 dogs.

Too Expensive

Good care, but I am CONTINUALLY being contacted for care appointments. With this Vet, I am spending more on the medical care for my dog, than I am for myself. Finally, I was forced to seek vet care elsewhere.
