DO NOT SHOP HERE! Unless you are looking for a headache. Not only does this lady (The owner) steal from customers but she also steals from her employees. How do you take away hours from your employees simply because you "don't have money to pay them." I don't mean 1 or 2 hours, i mean she takes like 16 hours out of your pay. I can't put into words what I have seen and gone through with this business. I just want to warn the public. I don't advice any of you to come across Vida's Boutique and if you do make sure your dress wasn't already used. They tend to sell rented dresses while you paid full price for a new dress.

It is a shame a store has to lie in order to make a sale. My mother only wanted to find a dress for her granddaughter and was unfortunate enough to choose Vida's Boutique. Unsure about the dress she was looking, the sales person (with an associate) assured her that she will be able to exchange it but no refund. My mother accepted the word of the sales person and purchase the $150 dress plus accessories (about $200 total). When my mother went back to exchange the dress, the associate started to help my mother find the dress when the owner of the store (who denied to be the owner and claims she does not speak English) stop the exchange and told the associate not to give her the exchange even though the associate informed her that she was there when the sales person told her that my mother could bring the dress back for exchange. The owner only spoke to her employee in Spanish, knowingly my mother did not speak Spanish. But fortunately, my wife who was with her during the exchange speak fluent Spanish and informed my mother what they were saying behind her back. When the Southland mall security came by it was ask by my mother if they could speak in English so she can understand what they were saying. The owner told the mall security she was not the owner and she did not speak English. It was not until the Miami-Dade Police shown up then she suddenly became the owner and spoke fluent English. Since it was a civil matter they can not do anything about it.

The point that I am trying to make, a business should stand by their word. Can a business who would lie and scam a customer in order to make a sale be considered to be a reputable business? A business who lie and scam their customers can never be trusted from their business practice to their merchandise.

Shady!

In a nutshell, I wanted to make my daughter happy. Should've known better when I witnessed the owner talking down to an employee and them uttering bad things about the owners shady invoicing practices. I went along with it. I paid a deposit for my party so that they didn't have to come up with additional cash. Vida's order the dresses the same month of th party. The dresses arrived the week before the party 2 sizes too big (measurements were taken 2 months prior. After several trips and many phone calls, dresses were ready at 5pm the night before the event. In addition, all of the families were charged a deposit after I paid for it and the store wanted to charge them alteration fees for a rental. Amazing! I've never taken the time to write a negative comment, but felt compelled to warn the public. Stay away unless you want an ulcer!!!
