Provided by YP.comI love Dr Fahringer. I have been seen her for years and have been especially impressed by how she managed to teach my then-pre-teen daughter to use contacts. Once I went to Lenscrafters to try to save a buck or two and not only did I end up spending just as much, there was way more time wasted and hassle experienced and much less personal attention.

Provided by YP.comUnprofessional, petty and a bit on the greedy side. I was allowed to sit and wait more than 30 minutes for my appointment (had I been 30 minutes late, on the other hand, I'm sure they would have turned me away). When I inquired as to when I would be seen, I got major "attitude" in reply. In fact, I was allowed to sit another 30 minutes and was never seen at all because I finally walked out. I "broke my neck" to get there on time, paid to park, and waited a total of an hour, but never received so much as an "I'm sorry," or any kind of apology or even so much as an acknowledgment of the long wait. No one ever took the time to say, "It'll be just a few more minutes," or anything. Actually, I felt as if I was allowed to wait the additional 30 minutes, precisely because I had the gaul to comment on the long wait in the first place! On a prior visit a couple of years ago, I got "attitude" from the optometrist directly because I did not want to buy my contact lenses from her at $80 per box, when I knew I could get them at Costco for half that, $40. I'm actually glad she and her staff were so rude today because it forced me to seek out another optometrist, with whom I'm very happy and who is professional, courteous, and understanding of my economic needs.
