My old shop was not doing a satisfactory job for my money. I made an appointment the work was done and had them do an oil change. They clarified the "old" shop was not even doing an oil change properly. The work was done well at Salem's wrench works and fair prices. Chris was a true professional about everything and I will tell everyone to get all automotive work done here. I am happy to find a place that cares about the customer.

Wrench works is awesome. I have been in the area for 7 years and it took me half of that to find a good mechanic. Sadly, I have some horror stories other places, so I was a little worried about trying something new. I was upfront about this with Chris, who treated me with respect and never talked down to me from the very beginning. Chris is upfront about repairs, costs, and if they can wait or not. Wrench Works treats you like family from the moment you start using them and give you terrific service for a great price. I refuse to take my cars anywhere else.

Took in our Ford Van for servi...

Took in our Ford Van for service because it was running very rough on idle and the check engine light was on. Chris read the fault codes and said the fuel injector needed to be replaced for $399,00 After doing the repair the van ran no better so we took it back 3 more times. Chris finally told us he had no idea what was causing the problem and said that old fords were a pain in the a** anyway,

So i took the van to a young mechanic in canton that was recommended by my wife's boss. This young man pulled the vacuum hose off the EGR valve ans the engine immediately smoothed out. He told me that the ports under the EGR valve were most likely plugged with carbon which was a norm for an older ford van. Told me that the repair would cost $155.00 but he was too busy to handle it for a couple of weeks so i made an appointment to return and have the repair done.

took the van back to Salem's and told Chris what the problem was. He told me hey I can fix it now that we know what is wrong yet he didn't offer to repair the van for free and since he completely misdiagnosed the problem in the 1st place we took it back to canton for the repair. The van now runs perfect!

I talked to Chris weeks later and he agreed to send me a refund check for the $399.00 Said he makes his mistakes right that way. Guess what, I'm still waiting for the check that's in the mail..... go figure

Don't waste your money! Took my son's Acura in because it wouldn't pull its own weight. They immediately replaced two oxygen sensors and charged 400 bucks. When we picked up the car it wasn't any better so we immediately took it back. We were then told it was a distributor which cost us another 300+ bucks. These guys should have put the distributor on 1st and saved my son the unnecessary 400 dollar charge for the oxygen sensors that he didn't need.

This car was brought in because it wasn't running well. The check engine light was on so I scanned the cars computer. There was a hard code in the computer for the oxygen sensors. I advised the customer that the first step was to replace the oxygen sensors and that there may be other problems. The car ran good and the check engine light was out when the customer took the car. The car started running bad on his way home and he brought the car back in for us to check. We found a faulty distributor and replaced that at cost plus labor for him.So the car needed the oxygen sensors along with the distributor to repair the problem.

I love these mechanics!

We have been taking our cars to Mark and Chris since they opened this shop, and we were customers of Chris's former shop too. We won't go anywhere else. These guys are great, they almost always fix everything on the first try and they stand behind their work in the very rare occasions when something doesn't stay fixed.

Honest and experienced

These guys know their stuff, are honest and economical. They have worked on my 8-year-old Camry and my daughter's 15-year-old Town Car. They are trustworthy, and most important, THEY KNOW HOW TO FIX CARS!
