They guarantee the parts they buy (get ready for a big, fat mark up) but not the service unless you bring it in within a year. Guess what wears out first... Don't expect very good customer service. They will blame their shoddy work on your not assuming it was shoddy to begin with. Spend your money at another locally owned business. Boubin seems happy to guarantee the mufflers they purchase and put on your car, but not the work they do.

These guys are the best of the best when it comes to automotive care. They are very honest and affordable. They do not fix things that don't need to be fixed, and they'll never lie to you. Every time I have gone there, they have saved me money.



- My car exhaust collapsed and I jimmy rigged it so I could drive it to them. Most other automotive stores would have told me they need to order a new exhaust, and I wouldn't have a car for a week. They were able to weld it back on and guarantee it to stay for 2 years, for 90% less than the cost of ordering a new piece.

- I took my car in for an oil change, once they were done with the oil change they vacuumed the front seat floors of my car for free.

- My parents took their car in for a tuneup and an oil change, and after an inspection they said the car wouldn't need a tuneup for another 2000 miles, and just did the oil change to save my parents some money. (although they would have done the tuneup at my parent's request after discussing the situation)

- My car's brake fluid system had a leak in it. I took my car in and they said it was a slow leak that needed a part ordered in. They got it in by the next week, and refilled my brake fluid in the meantime free of charge. (after assessing that the fluid level would maintain pressure for that span of time)



Every time I had gone it, the estimated price was always very close to the final cost of repairs which I have never experienced at others places. I have been very pleased with all their services, and they have made me a lifelong customer for sure! I would recommend them to anyone.

The Boubin team is honest and efficient. They don't do work unless your car needs it. I've taken my cars here for years and have never been disappointed. They also partner with The University of Iowa Alumni Association and if you are an Association member you get 10% off your service and repair. I like that a lot!

Beware of the Coralville Boubin shop. I went in with a leak told me it was the rack-in-pinion...930.00.....I agreed figured they knew what they where doing. A few days later I had the same leak...Oh it was just a o-ring,,,,Your ok...Two days later still leaking. Third time they told me now it was the water pump...340.00 more dollars. I told Cheri the manager, to make it right...She just knocked 40.00 off the water pump. So I basically spent 930.00 @#@*#&(@ dollars for nothing!!!! My rack-in-pinon was fine!!!

Will not be going back!
