Great place for fabric for clothing or home decoration

I've been sewing for more years than I want to admit. Stores like Pe***y's used to carry fabric before they started measuring profit per square foot of floor space. Now, the county where I live only has Hobby Lobby to depend on for sewing fabric. Wal Man in Henry County and in Forsyth no longer carry fabric - I can't count on them for creative supplies.

I travel up to Decatur to Jo-Ann's when I want to look for wool or silk fabric. Seasonal prints, upholstery fabric, and a few knitting supplies provide inspiration for all sorts of home projects.

People should be making their own clothes these days, what with the economy and the quality of much of the clothing made in other countries. Even if you're able to buy good ready made clothes, sewing is relaxing and creatively rewarding.

Check out Jo-Ann's - the people help you but are not intrusive.
