I owe Theo and apology for not sharing my thoughts and appreciation of his hidden yet mouth watering little true Greek Restaurant in Conyers, GA. My wife and I have been eating his true Grecian dinner plates for years now. He started out by slowly remodeling a little red house on Irwin Bridge Road surrounded by a picket fence. The last place I would expect to find a restaurant. I drove by it for months without stopping in to try his Gyros. However, the little red neon sign "Gyros to Go" kept tempting me. One day I gave in and finally entered his little building where I immediately fell in love with his traditional Greek restaurant similar to the ones I grew up with in and around Tarpon Springs, FL. Nothing better than a family with a dream, small restaurant, that would attract you back for not just the food, but for the conversation and welcome atmosphere that made you feel part of the family! One day, I was detoured for over a year as Irwin Bridge Road was under construction and I had to bypass his life long dream. But, that dream never faded as Theo had faith that this was his destiny and he would survive the interruption he had been faced with. During that lapse in time, he never forgot his customers and always took time to greet his customers and if he had a slow moment, he would come out of the kitchen to bring you up on his family and to praise the Lord for being with him through the highs and lows of life.

By the way, Theo prepares the best and largest authentic Greek plate servings you will ever get for your $. There is no charge for the atmosphere or welcoming conversation you will get when you stop at "Gyros to Go!" You will never feel more like family than just being another customer when you say "Hello Theo" through the tiny order window toward the man slicing your fresh Gyro meat with a genuine smile on his face!

After reading reviews on this place I decided I had to give it a try. I love gyros and I was not disappointed. I ordered the gyro platter and it was enough for two. The pita was fresh and warm, salad great, and the gyro meat was well seasoned and succulent. This place has a small dining area inside and tables with umbrellas outside. A nice little treasure in Conyers, I will definitely stop by often!

Hubby and I stopped in today for lunch. He had the Gyro Platter. He said it was delicious and a huge amount of food. I opted for the Bacon Cheeseburger W/Fries. The burger was huge, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. One of the best I've had in the Conyers area. Plenty of golden, delicious fries. Very clean and neat inside and out. Service was very friendly and prompt. It will be our new 'go to' place for lunch or dinner.

One of the best gyros I've ever had. Over stuffed with meat! Great hidden gem! If your in the Conyers area you have to try it!

lets start with the truth!! At first you're very hesitant to even stop .Based souly on its location .Gyro's To Go is located in a rather shady area of town . But who are we to judge... The Food was so good .I, am a Gyro lover so I had to try it. It's Loaded with whole long strips of meat .Which made for a tasty wrap the pita bread is nicely toasted so everything stays in place, and the owner uses a special sauce that's drizzled down and thru out the gyro. Yummy yummy!!! My husband had the cheese burger it was huge with all the toppings good too and cooked just right , The young man at the counter was friendly and very informative about their food items. The owners in the kitchen were very excited about severing their guests. Loved Loved this place. Will be back.
