Awesome Experiance!

They walked me through all the steps and it was painless. Now I have some beautiful countertops!

You've Heard of a License to Kill.....This is a Contract for Sloppy Installation!

If it were possible to give them ZERO stars, I would have! It was a disaster from the beginning! We were expected to take 3 days off of work to get the countertop installed—once for measuring, once for picking the slab, and once for install. The install took place, but they managed to scrape my cabinets. We called regarding the cabinets and they sent someone out to photograph the scrapes. About a week later a young man came out and fixed the damage—at cost to Tops in Counter Tops. We then had Carpet Exchange install our backsplash only to find that the granite slab was cut too small. Tops in Counter Tops made me take another day off of work to have someone come look at the gap. We were told the slab needed to be pushed back. They finally agreed to send someone out after 5pm so that I wouldn’t have to miss any more work. The guys came and quickly realized that the slab was just too small and couldn’t be moved back. We were then told that they wanted to give us a granite backsplash to cover the error. We already had a backsplash installed and they would not be held responsible for removing the brand new tile and resetting the backsplash from Carpet Exchange. We insisted that a new template be made and a new countertop fabricated for us. Tops and Counter Tops finally agreed, but on the install date the new slab had a large fissure in it and they cancelled the install. The next install date was set and when the slab got here, the main piece was too large to fit into the kitchen. The installers now gouged my cabinets AGAIN, because there wasn’t enough clearance. We called yet again to have our cabinets fixed. We were told because it was a second claim that a Lowes manager and a Tops in Counter Tops representative must be present to view the damage. The Tops in Counter Tops representative (Sam) wasted my time and insulted me in my own home by taking pictures of the damage and then handing me a contract agreement that I signed with a section they deemed to be “acceptable damage”. I asked Sam why they fixed the first cabinet damage. He stated that they ‘felt bad’. I responded with, “so you don’t feel bad about this?”. He tried to cover his tracks with diplomacy, telling me that they will not be fixing the damage kindly. I told him and Suzanne from Lowes to hit the door. Some advice for those at Tops in Counter Tops: don’t waste my time and insult me in my home with your negligence. To the buyer reading this review: beware! These fools can come into your home and damage what they wish as long as they find it “acceptable”.
