Shadow Mountain Trailer Park is not a pleasant place to live. There are several reasons why it should only be considered as a last resort.

The owner is very erratic and often arbitrary in his dealings with his tenants. On one day a tenant is his friend, and on the next, he is doing his best to browbeat the tenant into doing whatever it is he wants done. He frequently ignores his own rental contract. He has a strong bias against the LGBT community and is especially antagonistic toward women.

The trailers at the park are old and worn out. They are usually given some cosmetic attention between tenants, but structural problems exist in many of the units. Repairs, including plumbing and electrical, are usually made by unlicensed workers.

The biggest problem with Shadow Mountain Trailer Park, however, is that it is sited on an old mill tailings dump which is known to the EPA. Anyone with pets and/or children, and older people with respiratory or other illnesses should consider very carefully whether to move into the park.

My name is Kat. I have lived here 10 years and have had no issues with the landlords. I purchased a refrigerator and it was delivered and I was able to make payments. In my opinion if you are honest with them and pay your rent and follow the simple rules of the park, you won't have a problem. I also love the location and happy that I can walk my dog up into Red Rock Open Space.

I currently live in the trailer park. I along with many other tenants live under fear of eviction if we report any issues with our rentals ! I am currently infested with bed bugs and sewer gas from the lack of a simple p trap in our washer hook up. We have reported many issues to managment with no results. When we reported the bed bugs we were told that we have lived their long enough to deal with it our selves. My mom is disabled and i have young children in the home and now i have thrown all my furniture out and now we all live on the floor in the living room. To top it off now were having electrical issues AGIAN I'm depressed all the time from our living conditions. And its not getting any better. All my neighbors are scared to say anything even with being over charged for things that isnt our responsibility like broken refrigerator. Were lost for words and feel defeated. :(

Many units are infested with bed bugs & cockroaches! Beware potential renters and rent to own folks as well as investors looking to buy a mobile home park!
