I am posting another review, because now I have been to both stores, one in Manitou and one in Colorado Springs. The customer service and expertise at both stores is second to none. I asked many questions before leaving my jewelry to be repaired, and the staff answered all my questions and took a lot of time explaining things to me. Never once did I feel rushed or belittled for my limited knowledge of jewelry. They told me my repair would be done in about a week, and it was done in only three days. And the selection of vintage jewelry in Manitou is amazing, I have never seen so many pieces of vintage jewelry in one place. My next necklace will be from their vintage case! I've been visiting Lane's Manitou location for years and love the variety of vintage jewelry on display.

Recently, it was time for me to have a piece of custom jewelry made, so I went to the design studio on Pikes Peak Ave. Lane personally sat down with me and went through 3 trays of sapphires to help me select the perfect one for my ring. He showed me stones in a variety of colors, sizes, qualities, and prices. Once I selected one, he made my ring for me just as I wanted it and ahead of schedule.

I encourage you to visit both his location depending on your needs! You will not be disappointed.

I went there today with a 14k Gold necklace and bracelet marked as 14KSG or 14K Solid Gold, the younger gentleman working promptly told me it was plated and he had no interest. I also had a handmade Sterling silver with stone inlay womens watch and a antique sterling ring with a rare rhodocrisinite setting(it is illegal to use anymore as it is made from stalagmites) he offered me $1.50 for the ring and was lowballing me on the watch and I politely said I would pass and left. The watch band itself in my research similar ones made by the same man were being sold upwards of $800 and he was talking over the phone with someone hinting of an offer of maybe $20. I have bad skin problems due to past infections during military service and am often told I look like a tweaker and I was treated as such here, I was highly offended and insulted by my visit to this jewelers. I have half a mind to sue them! I do not reccomend them as they are liars, discriminating con artists. I had done buisness with them in the past and in a huge bind for some quick cash they gave me $135 for a diamond engagement ring I had paid $1600 for at kay jewelers in 2001 when gold was only $250 ish an ounce, at the time I sold it to them I believe gold was upwards of $1800 an ounce. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. You will get $200 and they will turn around and sell it for $2000.

Awesome customer service.. Very talented jeweler. I sold gold, got cash for some, then used the rest to make my very own unique custom made mothers ring. I am thrilled. And using my own gold, it cost very little.

Lane has been making jewelry since he was 16, and his expertise is priceless. He spent time educating me about diamonds, way before I bought anything. The diamond engagement ring selection is amazing... Antique Rings from the1800 s, vintage rings from the 1930s, and brand new diamond engagement rings. I will refer all my friends . Thanks lane for a truly remarkable experience.

Lane made my wedding ring, and it is the most unique ring I have ever seen. His diamond prices cant be beat, and the quality is HIGH! You know exactly what you are getting because he takes the time to educate you about it, and even lets you take a brochure on how to judge diamond quality when you are out comparison shopping. He has to be one of the best master goldsmiths out there, and he has been doing it for a long time (I think his wife told me he started making jewelry when he was 16). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!
