Scott has been our Piano Technician since 1999. Maintaining our Yamaha C5 Grand Piano is critical for the music lessons we provide. It is tuned twice a year to coincide with the NIMTA Musicianship and Performance Festivals and seasonal humidity changes.

Scott encourage me to complete the Dampp Chaser Humidifier system by adding the mfg Water Tank feature which has enhanced the stability of tunings through the seasons. In the past, Scott has regulated the action and voiced the hammers which show minimal grooving for 20 years of studio use.

Scott's expertise is in demand in the Inland Northwest. He rebuilds, refurbishes, and maintains pianos at regional universities and institutions in addition to residential routine tunings to ensure student success. He is present during community concert venues for a fine adjustments to ensure audience enjoyment. Because of his high demand, there have been times when Scott needed to delay or reschedule a tuning...typically because he is servicing a piano of more critical nature.

As the husband of 36 years to a professional Music Educator, I know the value of a fine, well-maintained instrument. There have been times when I snoozed under our Yamaha as Theresa practiced her scales and pieces...no sour notes to disturb my slumber.

Scott encourages families to purchase the best instrument they can afford and to keep it maintained. Typically a beginning piano student has one opportunity to establish a foundation for lifelong enjoyment playing their piano. How many parents regret giving up on piano lessons in their youth?
