Beware of this contractor!! We first hired Jimmy to install a new unit in 2010. Our tenant advised us the unit was leaking. We called Jimmy He came by and said he did not install this unit and whoever did it made a mess of it!! We told him u did it and we have the receipt to prove it. He then. Cleaned the drain line and installed a plug this took him less then an hour and he charged $180. Later that day the unit stoped working. We called another company out who said the install was a mess . He took 4 hours to fix it rewired the unit, fixed the thermostat and more. He did 2x the work and didnt charge as much as Jimmy. When we asked for a refund he refused!!!Bottom line this man is a cold hearted theif. Beware get somonone reliable off Home Advisor!!!

We've used Jimmy twice now both times he's been prompt and upfront about our unit.. It's old we know it needs replacing and just can't afford it..he still fixes what he can to help us and charges no more than anyone else if anything it's a little less..I've recommended him to a couple of my neighbors..

Very courteous on the phone, came within 30 minutes. He could have tried to sell me additional services, but didn't. Very honest, we call every year when the really hot weather hits and he's been amazing every time.

The first time we used Jimmy's AC, he corrected someone else's mistake. He did such a great job that we made sure to contact him upon purchasing another house four years later. He was able to fit us into his schedule and was prompt for the appointed time. He took his time to explain how our AC system with two thermostats and automatic damper controls temperature in the different zones. He figured out what we needed and once again provided excellent service. Jimmy is someone we trust and we value his advice.

Great Service! First of all he answered the phone which is more than I can say for other companies. We went with the quick fix at first but living in FL that only bought a couple of weeks. Jimmy gave us a quote in the meantime so we could plan. The whole unit kicked the bucket and he was there the very next day to replace it. I felt he was honest and straight forward. Thank you Jimmy!

We have good service from Jimmy's A/C in both of our home locations (Davenport, FL and Clermont, FL) Unfortunately. HVAC can be easily misunderstood by many and can be a source of consumer complaints. However, we have been satisfied with him and he hasn't overcharged or sold parts/service that were not required. What a great guy!

After calling several highly advertised AC companies, i found that almost all of them are high upfront fees that they call diagnostic fees. I came across Jimmy's AC repair, a local company, and Jimmy did a wonderful job, saved me a lot of money and he came to the property in less than 30 mins with short notice. Thank you Jimmy.

After dealing with Del-Air and practically being ripped off, I decided to go elsewhere. I called a local company and got Jimmy's AC. He came out right away and diagnosed my problem. Del-Air told me I would need a whole new unit at $7,000!!! Jimmy came out and told me it was just a drain line back up. He cleared it and it's been working wonderfully ever since. I had him back out about 6 months later for a check up. He's so helpful and greatly priced. I refer him to everyone I know!! Thank you Jimmy!!

THE BIGGEST & RUDEST AC CROOK IN CLERMONT

He is a lazy con artist. He came out to our home when our ac unit was blowing hot air. He didn't even have a leak detector. Quoted us from 315, 415, to 700 or the cost of a new unit to fix our system. Kept referring to our problem as "just put gas in it...there's a leak so the gas is gonna leak out." He got the money first, and got a signed receipt. He pretended to do something then took off. We called him and he lied and said it was blowing cold air when he left...ARE YOU KIDDING ME! We went straight to the bank and did a stop payment on our charge..HE DID NOTHING and would come back to get more money to do nothing if we were stupid enough to fall for it. We finally got a good real ac repair company to fix our ac. Don't EVER, EVER, EVER use this ONE MAN COMPAY JIMMY's AC!! He rips off hard working families and leaves you in the heat and you will have to pay twice to get your ac fixed.

This customer was given four options to choose from. They picked option number one which was just add refrigerant to a leaking system. They were told twice that the leak was not addressed and that if I put freon in, it would leak out again. They said they could only afford option #1 and they hoped it would last a while. They said they would repair the leak when they had more money. After I placed the refrigerant back into the system, the home began to cool down. I then gave them an invoice which they signed that they were satisfied and I had them initial that the leak was not addressed. They then payed for the service with a credit card. They called later in the day and said the home was not cooling. I offered to come out and take a look but they no.

You might as well roll down your window and let out $75.00! He came out when my a/c had been out for a few days in the dead of summer. He was sure to collect his money up front then was too lazy to go up in my attic giving me only speculation and NO solution as to what to do next. He was in a big hurry to leave because a storm was coming in (and told me exactly that). The a/c was still running warm as he was leaving so I ran out to catch him before he sped off. He basically gave me the shoulder shrug and drove off. I was exactly no better off or clear on what to do next anymore than before I gave him a GENEROUS DONATION with my hard-earned money. I still endured another 3 days without A/C until Del-Air came out. This company doesn't deserve any stars but I'm going to give it 1 since I can't post this consumer warning without doing so.

This person was not very clean. They had 3 dogs, the home smelled and the air conditioner was close to 20 years old. I found a filter that appeared to be at least 6 months old full of hair and dirt. I then proceeded outside to check the pressures. The evaporator coil was filthy, I then told the customer that it was time for a replacement. I then left because the place was making me sick.

I had a great experience with ...

I had a great experience with Jimmy's A/C. I had a problem mishandled by another a/c company. I called Jimmy and told him about it and was going to have him come out. He told me over the phone how to check to see if water was accumulating in the system and how to try to clean out the pipes in case clogged pipes were causing the unit to shut off. I did and it helped my problem. He did this all over the phone instead of taking the opportunity to charge me to come out. Not many would do this, especially the big companies. Thanks Jimmy, we'll definitely call with future issues.

DO NOT USE THIS GUY!!! He misdiagnosed my ac problems and guessed as to what the problem was. His guess cost me twice as much to fix the problem. He admitted he doesn't have the equipment to properly diagnose ac units or ac handlers. He was going to charge me over $500 for a part that I could buy myself for $250. I bought the part, had him install it and it didn't work. He charged me $125 to install a part that even didn't fix the problem! He told me if it wasn't the modulator then it was the motor, which cost me another $325 to buy and he charged me another $100 to install the motor. I ended up spending $800 dollars with parts and labor on something that if properly diagnosed the first time would have only cost me half that. Thanks Jimmy for nothing.....

Please call Jimmy is an up front and honest guy. When I call I always get an answer with a time frame. He is on His word ... I think price wise its fair he replace my condenser and motor to unit and did maintenace work also on unit to help keeping up to date and clean I have recommended him to others and will keep doing so
