You have to pay first , which is very chintzy in my opinion. They look at you as though they are afraid you'll steal their children, which is funny given the one child rule.
The cost is too high for average buffet food, though they do have sushi. Again, it's average quality or below, not as good as Nagoya.
The entrees are heavy on veggies and short on meat, and the chicken is generally dark or wing meat, cut in tiny pieces. The beef in the entrees tends to chewy and fatty.
Lots of choice, though: spring and egg rolls, several soups, rices and noodles, and American fare like shrimp and fries. Desserts are standard, canned fruit and pudding, purchased pastries and cakelets which tend to be dry.
Drinks are self-service, good for choice but again, chintzy. And are we really expected to tip at buffets with self serve drinks?
I have Chinese inlaws, so I have unfortunalely been exposed to great Chinese food. Most buffets are just such poor quality that I am willing to pay more to get a decent meal at a regular Chinese restaurant. (And if you read my reviews, I REALLY like to save money!) Grand China across from the bowling alley is a good choice: 2 egg rolls, 2 soups, drinks, and a shared entree with table service for less than $20 and you feel like you had quality food.
