This clinic is excellent. They are caring and always friendly. I have not ever had a bad doctor when I was there. My problems were always handled professionally within their capabilities. When I needed blood work, or other tests, I was sent to a different facility for them, and I didn't pay any more money for them. A donation of $10 is required for new patients, and a donation of $5 for those who have been there before. They have assisted me in obtaining my more expensive medications for free from the pharmaceutical companies under those companies' guidelines.

It is sometimes difficult to get an appointment there as it is first call, first serve. But most of the time I have received a phone call after I left a message asking me to come in the following week.

There are some things they cannot do there. Well women check ups are to be done elsewhere. They do not give shots there. They also cannot dispense prescriptions for drugs with narcotics in them.

You do have to bring a current utility bill with you to the clinic to prove you live within the boundaries of Johnson County that they serve. When I have forgotten mine, they have allowed me to call the utility company to request they fax the current bill to the clinic so I could still be seen.

This place is a joke. I guess when a clinic operates on donations, you get what you pay for. The doctor on staff just walked out of the room on me. I mean really???
