Founded in 1923, the Menemsha Inn and Cottages is the quintessential Martha’s Vineyard vacation base camp. Our guests spend the day at Chilmark's famous private beaches Lucy Vincent and Squiby and come "home" to witness the stunning spectacle of the sun setting into the waters of Vineyard Sound. Luxurious yet laid-back, the very family friendly Inn is part of a 30 acre working seaside farm where kids help tend to Red Devon Cattle and Rhode Island Red Chickens. A short stroll past our Red Devon's and the barn leads you to a winding path and calm waters of Menemsha Beach and our 300 year old commercial fishing wharf. A coveted family treasure is holding a weekly "same time next year" booking in one of our twelve water view cottages. Each very private cottage has a living room with fireplace and pull out sofa, full kitchen, screened porch and much more. Most families return to "their cottage" for decades.
