There is nothing nice about this facility. My brother is visually impaired and has been taken advantage of by both patients and staff. First of all, multiple people have sticky fingers and although he has a few drawers with latches and locks, he still gets ripped off with new clothes and cigarettes. He can't leave the property, so if he gives the "errand" patient $20 to grab a few hot dogs from the nearby gas station, he can kiss his change goodbye and the administrators do nothing about it. If he oversleeps for any meal, there is no staff member that would go around to make sure the visually impaired or other handicapped members are escorted or aware of the time. When they don't eat, it's too bad. I looked at some caps that he has and one that he was wearing too weeks ago was now too small and can only sit on the top of his head. I saw two more tossed in a drawers that were shriveled from heat and asked what happened. I was told that someone just gathers up all his things and wash and dries them with extreme heat and renders them unwearable. The staff is very cold. They don't make eye contact unless you speak directly to them and the minimum of words are exchanged. I personally would die from depression in that place and probably a majority of others facilities of this nature. Beware!

My sister is a patient here. She is paralyzed and totally reliant on others for care. CNA's take 45 minutes or longer to answer call light. Whenever my sister needs a bedpan, she is told that the CNA's are too busy and she should just urinate on the bed pad. They are even too busy to feed her. As a result, my sister is malnourshed.
