I walked in, the floor was dirty. There was spilled water under the table. The waitress was very nice. I ordered the ribeye streak breakfast special. I received a meal with a different cut of beef. I let the waitress know that wasn't the correct meat.

(I know this after 4 years of culinary school, a bachelor's degree in culinary arts management and 5 years restaurant experience. Trust me, I cook ribeyes on a daily basis)

I told her I would keep it, just charge me accordingly. The waitress took my plate and took it to her manager. Upon her return, she told me that that was a ribeye. I asked to talk to the manager. The manager with a bad comb over with a very rude and defensive attitude came to the table. He asked what the problem was. I said, this isn't a ribeye. He yanked the plate off the table and said, "Well do you want anything else." I said no, I was going to keep the meal. Just price it accordingly. He rudely refused. Then I noticed he was holding the plate with his thumb in my food! I told him I didn't like his attitude. He said, "And I don't like you." And that he had "been in business for 50 years..."

Needless to say I walked out.

I've been meeting friends at Huck's since I was old enough to walk there on my own. Although nothing fancy, it provides a friendly atmostphere that everyone loves. The breakfast food is average, but the coffee refills are frequent. My favorite treat is the Donut Delight, your pick of a donut topped with any flavor of ice cream and finished with whipped cream, sprinkles and occasionally hot fudge. Definitely give Huck's a try.
