I'm a semi-pro DJ from Chicago. I played my first record for the public in 1981. I've been around the block a few times, so I would consider my opinion a valid one. When the Hot Mix 5 hit the airwaves on WBMX, there were two Dj's I would emulate, Farley Funkin' Keith and Scott Smokin' Silz. I recorded their mixes on cassette and listened to them over and over, What separated them from the others (In my opinion) were their music selections, timing, and blends. I've heard all the DJ's perform live. and flawless is the best way I can describe Scott Smokin"Silz. I NEVER heard a bad performance from "Sensei Silz". The Frankie Knuckles tribute mix he did on V103 was the the best mix of the night, (IMO). You cannot possibly go wrong with a company that is owned / operated by a legend.
