I could not recommend a more honest or reputable moving company than Cunningham Movers! Bill Cunningham was incredibly professional, detail oriented and just took all the worry and aggravation of moving furniture from Chicago to CT after a family member passed. I wish all businesses operated with the honesty and integrity that Cunningham Movers does!

Yelp lists this mover as closed. FALSE INFO! Best movers I evee had. Came on time. Didn't treat my ttreasures as trash. Stacked my boxes with writing facing out so I could easily find.
Fasr, courteous, professional...hard to find this service today. 2 thumbs up!

Very disappointed with my experience with Cunningham movers. We were quoted 3 hrs of work plus 1 hr of travel at $120/hr totaling $480. I thought this was a great price compared to the many moving quotes we received.



Come moving day the owner called to say they were going to be an hour and half late, our original appointment was at 1, no big deal things like that happen. They showed up with 3 men and a teenage girl... they actually moved us out pretty quick however they used up the rest of our packing tape with out asking and only started using theirs once our roll was empty; they stated they would bring their own supplies.



Once arriving at the new place the three men plus teenage girl turned in to two men, one teenage girl, and two more preteen boys (I later learned these were Cunningham's kids). Two men and essentially CHILDREN were unloading the the truck. They did work fast as they did before but I watched the children drop my boxes and put them anywhere despite them saying "Living Room," "Master Bathroom," and etc... granted these kids looked tired! Sweating, red-faced, dehydrated, exhausted- maybe I should have called children protective services instead.



By 6PM they completed the job and the owner said luckily for us he won't charge us for the extra workers... the inexperienced fatigued CHILDREN that were dropping my things everywhere. Still the owner bumped up my fee an additional hour to $600. So no only did we get screwed on price, but also on quality, OH and did I mention that many of our items have been damaged from furniture to items in boxes (probably because half the boxes were placed upside down!



Tried to work this out with the owner over the phone but since he has he $$ he will not budge and it is my fault for paying him. He claims they were their longer and that the children were collage-aged.



Pros: quick work

Con: Poor quality work, over charge from quoted prices, used child labor, owner lies



I suggest do not use and pay the additional money ANYWHERE else to a reliable company you can trust.

BEWARE!!!! I first used Cunningham movers a few years ago with very few problems, anything that was damaged was quickly repaired. There were 4 crew members and that move was done in 4 hours.This time however anything that was NOT IN A BOX WAS DAMAGED!!!! Every piece of furniture has damage, they broke, chipped, scratched, dented and/or gouged ever piece, drawer tracks are broken, items with casters had at least 1 caster broken. They had 3 crew members and it took 8 hours to move and I had less stuff than the first time they moved me. I had given away my dining room table and a large chair and some other pieces so this move shouldn't have taken 8 hours. I have asked to speak with the owner several times and he has not returned any of my calls!!!! This is bad business, this company (if you can call it that) is completely unprofessional. There is one guy on the crew that does the soliciting for tips and his name appropriately rhymes with GIMMIE! I would have given this company less than 1 star if this site allowed it.
