Acropolis, more like Acrapolis. Food tasted awful and bland. Took forever to get refills. Alcoholic beverages were nice However.

Food is good!

I really like the food, and have eaten there many times. My only dislike of the place is they cover their table cloths with paper. For a 4-5 star restaurant, I think is just plain TACKY! They charge enough for the food, that they could afford to pay for laundering of the tablecloth. That being said. Their desserts are the best!

Love it

We eat often at the Acropolis. Usually the food is terrific and the prices are great! Sometimes the food isn't quite as good (maybe a different chef?), but we are usually not disappointed. The deserts are wonderful and a huge selection.

Response to the $5.00 tip on a $25.00 check

I can't believe you have the audacity to tell someone they should be eating at Burger King because they left you a 20% tip. When did a 20% tip constitute as poor "tip etiquette?

You were way out of line in my opinion!

Only tried it once, NEVER again.

I have had true Greek food before. Maybe that is what made EVERYTHING we ordered just taste so terrible. Someone made a comment about their food tasting like it was frozen, then microwaved, then served... That is almost word for word of how I described the grape leaves I had ordered for dinner. And the "OPA" ( or oompah I think someone previously reffered to it as) was HORRIBLE (by the way, its called saganaki). It was not the right type of cheese. What we recieved tasted and had the texture of mozzarella. It wasnt even baked long enough for it to actually melt the cheese. My wifes food was equally as terrible. We did not say anything, because we didnt want to make a fuss. We didnt want anything else, and we left more than 90% of all the food we ordered on the table. We still tipped the waiter good, because its not their fault. I wouldnt make the point of getting on here if this place didnt try to convince everyone that it is simply great food.

In closing, if you have ever TRULY had AUTHENTIC Greek food (your not born and raised in the Chattanooga area)., DO NOT GO THERE. I promise, you will be upset upon your departure.

I have always had a great meal here! My comment is for Graham who told the lady that her $5 tip on $25 was not a great tip. When did a 20% tip begin to constitute that a person should be eating at Burger King? I'm sorry, but if you have a 4 table section and only get $5 a table per hour that is $20 an hour that is more than most people make an hour. Your only waiting tables give me a break! I did this for many years I know its a hard job, but to tell her she should be eating at B.K. come on!

Just an FYI

$5.00 on a $25.00 check is NOT a great tip. If you cant afford to tip you should go to Burger King. If your meal wasnt inedible you should have mentioned this to your server instead of pouting.

I have never had a bad meal here. The food & service are always great!

Breaded chicken

With capers and lemon sauce tasted like it was from the freezeer then microwaved. The sauce tasted like it was also from a box. It was very bland. I was on my way to the reastroom and the sever was brining our plates, he insisted on putting it under the warmer and I insisted not to, that I would only be a second, I came back and my food was gone. Server brought it back shortly after I returned. I had two bites and picked at it. My husband finished his Ruben Sandwich, I tasted and it was great. Then my husband ate my food becasue he was still hungry, the server finally returned and we told him I didn't like my food and told him the above. He said I should of said something when he asked me how was my food, I ignored that he said this to me just now becasue he never did ask me this question, he only came back to the table when I returned from the bathroom to give me my plate, Never returning to check on my dish. He was very mistacken, I still tipped 5 for a 25 ticket. Very rude. The coffee was great.

The food is out of this world! Great flavors, tastes, and value priced!

Everything appears to be made from scratch, the "ya-ya" bread with the cinnimon butter....if I ate anymore, I would have had to cancel the rest of my meal.

Strawberry Patchwork cake dessert....to die for, even if you are full from your meal, it is worth having a piece of the cake.

Took some of the other desserts home, very tasty, we will make this a regular stop on our trips to

chattanoonga!

Amazing Desserts

Very accomodating staff willing to service special needs. Several vegan options. Good food. The fresh potato chips hot from the fyer are wonderful. But the desserts are unbelievable. My husband's favorite is the baklava cheesecake. The heath bar cake is also outstanding. From cookies to cakes and chocolate, the dessert choices boggle the mind. We have never had a bad meal.

Always good

Depending on what you get, it is usually tasty. My personal favorite is the Fettuccini Alfredo. Service is almost always great, although I have happened upon a dud once who took forever to return with our bill. We just went up to the front and paid for it ourselves. But definitely get the salad with the house dressing. Splendiferous!
