Los Angeles Superior Court resolves and records legal matters. The court protects individual rights, liberties and the confidentiality of court participants as required by law. It serves more than 9 million people of Los Angeles County in California with courtrooms spread throughout the 4,000-square-mile county from Pomona to Santa Monica and from Lancaster to Long Beach. Its jurisdiction cases include criminal, civil, juvenile, family law, mental health and probate.
