Our experience with this contractor was the worst ever. We hired Knight to do various home remodel work which included a kitchen & 2 bathrooms. Once we had signed the contract & paid a significant amount of money to Knight, the company did a 180 on us. We did NOT experience a nice, competent, concerned, or quality company/contractor as advertised. The team assigned to our project, which included the president of the company as the main project manager, shocked us greatly by performing horribly shoddy work. We felt so sick to see what they were making of our home, plus after several months of asking, Knight could not account to us what had been done with our project money. We had paid out a great deal to them, yet were getting very little back in return & still they claimed that we owed more. They even increased the progress payments significantly & told us that we would be in breach of contract if we did not pay. We told them to STOP IT! We had had enough! We tried to work through mediators to resolve contract & workmanship issues, but in the end it was all a huge waste of time & money. Knight never did correct their substandard work or fix their outstanding building code violations.It took years, but with the help from an attorney, Knight was held accountable & we got an out-of-court settlement for some of our overpayment to Knight & some money to correct their shoddy work. The extend of Knight's poor work was so great that it was demolished & the project started over by another company.
