Chanhassen Elementary School provides educational programs to more than 650 students from first through grade five. It has a 25-classroom building with each classroom wired for access to the Internet. Its curriculum includes art, vocal and instrumental music, physical education, special education and gifted education. The school has a complete computer lab and media center. It has a site council with parent, staff and community representatives assisting in decision making. It also offers school age child care, as well as after-school learning activities through the District 112 Community Education Program. It has a parent-teacher association that provides planning and implementation of a variety of fundraising activities for the benefit of school.
