I was quoted .20/lbs. for old computers over the phone. When I got there, and unloaded, they offered me .08 /lbs. instead, because I had removed the hard drives.

Since they were "incomplete" computers, they were worth 60% less.

I told them I had destroyed the hard drives to protect the data, but could provide the destroyed drives. They said they needed the COMPLETE hard drives to give the full price. The only reason they would need completed hard drives is if they wanted to try to steal data from them. I will not do business with them again.

Very nice people but they really low balled me on the copper. My fault! Should have checked better.
