Garden Hills Elementary School, established in 1958, has a staff of nearly 45 full-time certified teachers who conduct classes in English, math, language arts, science, social studies and physical education. It also organizes special classes in the English as a Second Language, behavioral intervention and support, Title I, reading recovery, accelerated reader, and gifted and talented education programs. In addition, Garden Hills Elementary School supports several integrated art and tutoring programs. The school has a team of speech and language pathologists, student services coordinators, social workers and mentors. Garden Hills Elementary School teaches more than 325 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Located in Champaign, Ill., it is a part of Champaign Community Unit School District 4.
