Originally founded in 1996 as the Colorado Drum Institute, we grew to what was considered by many to be the largest private drum school in the nation. From there we expanded into teaching guitar, bass, piano, keyboard, voice and cello in styles such as Rock, Funk, Heavy-Metal, Jazz, and Hip-Hop.

Students of all ages and levels are welcome. Band Camp starts in June and lasts all summer long. Camps are one week long and start at different times through the summer.

Our facilities are top notch. The bright and spacious studios provide an excellent learning environment and contain a full stereo, instruments and computers. Each of our drum studios contains two complete drum sets that are not padded up so our students can experience the full impact of making music. The amps in our guitar studios are tops! Our keyboards are the latest models.

Our sole purpose is to instruct and aid in the development of musicians of all ages, levels and styles. Our collective efforts have come together to form a school where you can learn from instructors that have a ton of knowledge and experience. We feel that the days of teaching part-time and in the home are over. Here at CMI, our students learn on the best equipment and in the most complete teaching studios. By taking this "hands on" approach, our students simply learn faster. Music stores only give lessons to "generate traffic" and to increase sales. We don't sell instruments. We teach them.
