Just played this golf course, and it's one I'll be coming back to as soon as possible. A nice variety of terrain offers plenty of risk-reward and safe play. The greens are in great shape, and the fairways are running fine. A beautiful landscape offers the golfer a nice Minnesota outdoor experience (everything from bridges over wetlands to hefty tree lined holes). All this with a beautiful clubhouse- excellent.

The Refuge golf club is a spectacular golf course surrounded by woods and marsh land. The practice facility located here is one of a kind with a wide open driving range, a very large putting green and a chipping green with practice bunkers. The condition of the course was superb from the tee boxes to the fairways. Although this is a challenging course I will defiantly be back in the near future.

It was a short drive north of the cities in the middle of a great piece of land for a golf course. Excellent practice facilities, very well manicured fairways and tee boxes, and an awesome club house. It’s in much better shape than many of the courses around the cities this year. I definitely plan on returning this year!

The Refuge is a nice track in the northern suburbs. Great practice area including sand traps. Course winds through the woods, reminds me of the Brainerd area. The greens are fast, tough and fair. The staff was very courteous. I will definitely be back!.

Well I've played this course more than 50 times lol(I used to work for them) Any ways about the course and bar. 1st off very good course. Very hard course...it WILL test your playing skills!! I like that but most of you "might" fine it a very hard course. You need to carry alot of swamp/water, fairways are NOT wide at all!! Greens are on the small side....you need to work a fade and also at time you really need to keep it staright! It is rated a 4.5 from GD but I think it's more like a 4 out of 5 stars. But, it's still worth the drive up here if you live far away!! It's really a good course thats hidden.
