Sorry I went

I took my dog to the "spa" for a bath and grooming. I was hesitant to try them because they are very expensive for the services but had heard good things about the skills of the groomer.
Well, I picked my dog up and she has been sick ever since. Her eyes were very "goopy" and has had diarreah. I am on my way to a vet now to find out what's the problem. After reading the posts here, I would not take my dog there for medical services either. I called the office to tell them my dog has been illl since I picked her up but no one bothered to call me since.
My adivice.....GO ELSEWHERE!

Animal Health helped my dog when he was bitten by a rattlesnake. They acted very quickly and saved his life! Thanks to the techs and doctors we still have our sweet little Boo Boo.

Winter, my Siberian husky, got really sick one night and we took her to Animal Health Services. It was just an upset stomach from eating some people food but it scared us and I was relieved to know that it wasn't something more serious. They gave me peace of mind.

Be Careful

The doctors at this practice are not board certified doctors. There is a huge difference between general primary veterinarians & board certified veterinarians. If you have a procedure done or a diagnosis made by one of these general primary care vets they should refer you to a board certified doctor to assure you & your pet receive the best care possible. Please visit this site of the official AZVS. It ill tell you the difference with schooling for a primary care vet & a board certified vet. My friend had their dog have a ACL surgery performed by a primary care vet & they took the chance of having a botched surgery where the dog can be crippled, still limp & bad management with pain & care. http://www.acvs.org/AnimalOwners/WhatisaBoardCertifiedSurgeon/GP's are great at vaccinations, spays & neuters but they should leave specialty cases to the specialists.

My dog can walk again.

Two weeks ago my dog Murray started limping after he went outside running one day. I took him to Animal Health and saw Dr. Prevatt. He told me he had a torn ACL. After having surgery and a careful recovery Murray can walk again. I am so happy! I would recommend Animal Health Servcies to anyone with a limping pet.

I only trust Animal Health Services with my baby!

I have been to other vets but never have I felt like I could trust my precious angel to anyone before I went to Animal Health Services. The doctors and staff helped me late one night when I had no where else to turn. As my baby was choking I knew I couldn't make it the the closest emergency center (Scottsdale) so I rushed in without an appointment and was helped immediately. I was kept posted the whole time my pet was being treated and was even allowed to sit next to her in their ICU area while she received iv's.Before when I had no one to turn to, now I will never turn to anyone else. Thanks!

Overpriced and Rude is Right!

When I first went to this vet they were in their old digs and they were really great. Once they built their new building, the bills skyrocketed and they got snotty and RUDE. We took our dog who is ancient and does not like the vet in for his shots. We waited over an hour for our appointment with our dog upset the whole time and finally we walked out. They called and begged for another shot which we gave them. When we next had to take our dog in, he had gotten into a cholla cactus and had some spines in his mouth that needed to be removed. They wanted over $500.00 and insisted they had to do bloodwork for an additional $100.00. My first visit to this vet was when my dog had over 200 cholla spines in his mouth and paw, they fixed him up and the entire bill was $125. The second cholla incident was 2 years and a new office later and they wanted $600 for a whole lot less cactus spines. They are only interested in jacking up your bill to pay for their fancy office. And RUDE. We refused to pay the price they wanted and demanded our dog be brought up front and they refused to bring him out for over an hour, they kept trying to get us to agree. It got really ugly before they would bring our dog back who was still impaled with the cactus spines and upset and hurt. They are terrible vets who only care about profit.
