(Part 1) Well, it all started ...

(Part 1) Well, it all started with a letter sent to my Mother informing her of a Special Buy Back Event that was going on at Honda Of The Desert where she had leased a Brand New 2010 Honda Accord LX 2 years ago. My Mother's name is Lena, and she showed me the letter asking what I thought. I said "If you can get into a New Car at the same price you are paying now, why not?" So, we called the dealership and scheduled an appointment for a Monday afternoon to see what could be done. The person who answered the phone did so promptly, was very courteous, and scheduled the appointment for the day and time we requested. It was after 4 on Monday Afternoon as we pulled into the Honda of The Desert parking lot for our scheduled appointment. After we had entered the Showroom, we were greeted immediately by two smiling faces, a Receptionist standing behind her desk, and a Salesman standing on the opposite side asking us how they could help. We told them we were there for a scheduled appointment. They informed us that the person we had scheduled our appointment with was still with another party but that was not a problem. Marc Craig quickly introduced himself, shook our hands, and said "I will be happy to help you". We were glad that Marc offered to help us and we did not have to wait. He then guided us to a near bye table and chairs. The chairs allowed for you to lean back and relax in them making it very comfortable for both of us. Marc then offered us each something to drink. Marc quickly returned with our beverages. Mom loves a good cup of coffee and I could tell from look on her face, that she was pleasantly surprised. “Good coffee?” I asked, “yes” she said with a smile. My bottled water was good too, it was cool and refreshing. After we each had a few sips, we began discussing our business with Marc. We informed him that we were interested in the exact same car only if we could get a deal that would not require more funds than she was currently paying. Marc said that he would do his best and see what he could do for us. It is important to note that Marc was not just about business, he also took the time to allow us all an opportunity to get to know one another. We learned that Marc had only been working at Honda of The Desert for 2 weeks. My Mother and I were both surprised to learn this due to Marc’s Veteran Like confidence and service. Marc upon returning from the Manager’s Office presented an offer that was good, but was not within my Mother’s budget. She said that she would have to think about it which was a polite way of saying “Thanks, but no thanks”. Marc did not give up, after asking some more detailed questions as to what my Mother needed, he then went back again to his Manager’s office and came back with another offer. My Mother looking at the new offer said “Okay, if you can do that, you have yourself a deal!” Next came the search. Marc now had to see if they had the car my Mother wanted on the lot. We all walked outside together in search of my Mother’s new car. It was a beautiful sunny day that day which made it nice for all of us. It was sort of relaxing; I could not help but take it all in, the incredible surrounding mountains, palm trees and blue skies. Our search came up empty handed however. The car my Mother wanted was not anywhere on the lot. The car had to be the exact same model, same extras, and same white color. We went back inside to our table where we sat, and Marc again answered the challenge by offering to call other Honda Dealerships to search for our car. Luckily, Marc’s efforts proved to be successful once again. He told us he would have our car ready for us, all filled up with gas and cleaned by the following day. To Be Continued...
