Rude and Intimidating People! ...

Rude and Intimidating People!
I had a rather intimidating experience at True2Form Collision Center in Cary today. I went to pay for repairs to someone's car (she hit her car and we decided to pay for it ourselves). Per the advice of my insurance agent & my attorney, I asked for an invoice made out to me, since I was paying for it, they flatly refused. Then I asked to make a note on the invoice to indicate that I paied for it, they also flatly refused. I wondered what harm would it do but they wouldn't listen to me at all. Three guys in the office yelled at me saying something like "this is how it is done!" and "you are not writing on that invoice!". It was truely frightening. I can't imagine how they would treat their customers who didn't agree with them. I'd never go back there again!

Upon walking in and approaching the front desk, Allison the receptionist spoke to me as though I was intruding on her time. Once I told her that I had an appointment for an estimate she tossed a clipboard upon the counter and said "Have a seat and fill this out." Yes, tossed. A few days later I got a second estimate done elsewhere which came to $50 cheaper than Gerber. However there was a longer waiting list at the other shop, so I called Gerber to ask if they would match the price. Allison immediately said no and chuckled as though my question was silly. I had to ask twice, just to confirm I was hearing correctly. This was a $4,000 repair job being offered to them, and they lost it over $50. I went with the other body shop, excellent service, satisfactory work. I later found out that Allison has worked at other places in the area and been fired for being rude to customers. It's a wonder Gerber in Cary stays in business!
